A little more motivation

I think it was definately the diet. I was out way too much over the weekend starting with Friday and g0ing right on through breakfast on Sunday. I tried my best to stay in the zone, but unless you actually go in the kitchen...... Plus there's the grease - did I mention that buffalo wings are my weakness. I just can't say no - the hotter the better!

From lunch on Sunday to now I have been strict with the diet. I actually find it much easier to stay on the diet during the week than on the weekends, but I will get better especially after seeing what it can do to go off for a day and a half.

My energy was mostly back today. Can't say I was 100% but I was looking forward to my workout which I cannot say the same for yesterday. Glad I looked at my plan because I actually thought I was doing a different workout today. I must have jumped forward on the plan when I was reading it last.

Today was Helen with 35# Kettlebell. I actually got a 35# Kettlebell for Christmas so this was great - I finally got to use it. I finished in 11:11. I would say "BEAT THAT DAN!" but he probably already did.

  1. Hey Martin,
Great job with Helen. She is not on my schedule until 1/20. It says 70% effort on my plan. It's going to be hard to dial it back after trying to kill every workout. You'll probably be on your 3rd burger at Rev3 when I cross the finish line.

  2. It's amazing how much time you can make up (or lose) on the run. I'm sure your swimming is improving - a slow process. You are going to see amazing gains on the bike especially after riding with me (yes, I'm arrogant too). I don't think I will be that far in front of you at the end. Quite honestly, it does not matter as long as we both have races we can be proud of.

  4. I am really looking forward to our rides. I can use all the help I can get. My goal is to break 6 hours. If I do that, I'll be thrilled!

  5. That would be great Ariel. I may have to tie myself to you guys to keep up, but I think it'd be a lot of fun.
